Aufgaben

Your Role

As a Senior Software Engineer (C++), you will play a key role in the development and control of high voltage batteries used in various customer vehicles and power grid applications. Your primary focus will be on embedded software for our battery management systems, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the systems. You will work on a range of applications related to state of charge monitoring, state of health monitoring, real-time cell monitoring, secure communication, power management, and bootloader solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for integrating software modules, and finding scalable architecture solutions.

Your Future Tasks at a Glance

  1. Develop and test embedded software modules, including real-time cell monitoring, secure communication, and power management functionalities.
  2. Contribute to the overall architecture and design by engaging with other software.
  3. Perform code reviews fostering sane programming practices and patterns as well as paying attention to clean code.
  4. Maintain and optimize the performance of our existing codebase.
  5. Integrate software modules, considering real-time capabilities and efficient resource management.
  6. Ensure software development adheres to necessary automotive safety standards, such as ISO26262, ASPICE, and ISO21434.
  7. Integrate software builds, deployment, and testing into the CI/CD tool landscape.
  8. Provide support for the implementation and testing of different customer batteries and vehicles.

Anforderungen

What you bring with you

  1. Successfully completed university degree in an engineering field (software, robotics, electronics, mechanical), math or applied physics.
  2. Experience and success in managing complex software projects from concept phase to certification and delivery.
  3. Hands-on working experience in software engineering in C++11 and later, including STL algorithms and containers and unit testing (at least 7 years).
  4. Ideally some working experience in a technical leadership role.
  5. Experience working with automotive norms such as ISO26262, ASPICE, and ISO21434.
  6. Familiarity with different communication busses such as: CAN, LIN, SPI, ISOSPI, Ethernet, J1939 or Odx.
  7. Knowledge of microcontrollers and relevant tools (AURIX Tricore, TI Hercules, NXP S32).
  8. Experience with security concepts and cryptographic algorithms are a plus.
  9. Knowledge in the field of Battery Storage Systems or Cryptography are a plus.
  10. Creative mindset and a strong passion for innovative electronic solutions in the electric vehicle industry.
  11. Strong team collaboration skills and excellent communication abilities in English.
