AI Engineer / Consultant (m/f/d) in our Digital Innovation Unit

1. Under guiding of the AI steering coordination group and in coordination with the AI officer, responsible for internal capacity building:
2. Assess the technical feasibility of AI use cases in GFA
3. Contribute to to cost-benefit assessments of AI use cases in GFA, incl. infrastructure and maintenance requirements
4. Develop pilot solutions (e.g. chatbots, process automation tools) for use cases in coordination with our IT (GFA Digital, Syscom)
5. Pilot testing of solutions and develop recommendations for rollout, if applicable
6. In the DIU:
7. Develop AI-based solutions for our clients
8. Assess and analyze data, develop chatbots, build and integrate dashboards
9. Write technical proposals for the acquisition of new projects in the field of data-driven solutions
10. Networking with donor agencies, beneficiaries, partner companies or institutions, subcontractors and experts
11. Elaboration of reports, concepts and presentations
12. Actively contribute to the further development of AI-based services in GFA and for GFA-clients

1. University degree (MA) in economics, statistics, data science, physics mathematics or another degree with a strong quantitative focus
2. At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the context of public sector AI or digitalization and data in development cooperation, ideally including in digital product development
3. Software Development skills ideally several of the following:
4. Python (FastAPI)
5. Microservice design, API design
6. Docker, design of Docker images, container orchestration
7. Databases: Postgres
8. Deployment pipelines, server configurationw with Nginx
9. Machine Learning experience, ideally:
10. Design, deployment and management of Vector/Graph Databases
11. Python AI and GenAI Frameworks and NLP Frameworks/libraries
12. Azure Machine Learning: set-up and management of compute spaces
13. Basic knowledge know-how of IT systems, webarchitectures, data protection concepts
14. Full proficiency in written and spoken English. German and French are an asset
15. Strong writing, communication and presentation skills
