Intro
For our Team Wikibase Product Plattform, based in Berlin, we are looking for a permanent
Product Manager (gn) Wikibase Product Plattform
full-time or part-time, as soon as possible.
About the position & the team
You will be the product manager of the team that develops and improves the software platform that serves as a base to the Wikidata project and the Wikibase projects. They together form an ecosystem of interconnected knowledge graphs, which are part of the Linked Open Data web. You will work on open source software that puts user needs first and increases our users’ satisfaction, in close collaboration with the other members of the Linked Open Data product management team. At Wikimedia Deutschland – with volunteers and institutions – we work towards a future in which people share the power to collect and organize the data that shapes humanity's understanding of the world.
Aufgaben
- You will be responsible for creating the strategy and vision for the internal Wikibase Product Platform, working closely with the product managers of the Linked Open Data product portfolios
- You will define objectives and success criteria which you will then use to measure how the work of the Wikibase Product Platform leverages the impact of our user facing products.
- You will develop the product in collaboration with your Engineering, Product and UX teammates
- You will align, structure and communicate the Wikibase Product Platform product roadmap and do progress and status reporting to stakeholders.
Anforderungen
- You have product management experience in the tech sector and like working on very technical products. Ideally (but not required), you have experience building an internal platform
- You have strong product strategy skills and experience with a variety of product management methodologies and are used to user- and data-informed decision-making
- You are experienced working in interdisciplinary, agile teams. A team player who flourishes when aligning a diverse range of people
- You are eager to learn, collaborate across institutional boundaries and work within a volunteer movement and excited to contribute to the free and open knowledge movement through data
- You face difficult situations head on and look for how to move forward
- You can communicate in English on a professional level
