IT Infrastructure Manager (gn)

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an unlimited contract duration. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.

As

IT Infrastructure Manager (gn)

you will be our leading expert and contact person within the organization for all questions and solutions related to our global network infrastructure and our data center in Bonn.

You will develop our IT infrastructure as part of a team and independently, administer it and integrate existing and new systems and solutions.

Through your active participation as an infrastructure and integration expert in digitalization projects within the organization, you will make siginificant contributions to the success of projects.

You will also use your expertise to advise organizational units in our Head Office in Germany and our country offices on IT infrastructure-related topics.

1. Strategic development, administration, maintenance and monitoring of IT infrastructure solutions
2. Global network infrastructure of the organization for the secure and reliable connection of country and project locations abroad, the data center in Bonn and the Berlin location
3. Data center in Bonn with network and server infrastructure (UCS)
4. Storage area network (SAN) of the data center in Bonn and driving forward the standardization of the (global) IT infrastructure through independent development and communication of guidelines and standards, including supervision of implementation by local IT specialists
5. Independent development and realization of solutions for the secure and high-performance integration of external systems, networks and applications in cooperation with IT security experts
6. Independent development of IT infrastructure and integration solutions as part of digitalization projects and project-related implementation
7. Advising and supporting specialist departments at home and abroad and digitization projects on IT infrastructure-related topics

1. A University or College degree in computer science, IT security or a comparable subject area
2. Several years of experience in the design and management of IT integration and infrastructure solutions
3. Specialist knowledge of network and server technology as well as storage networks
4. Basic knowledge of IT security
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
6. High willingness to learn and motivation to develop the organization's IT infrastructure
7. You recognize the growing value of data in your field to incorporate data-driven approaches into your work
8. Good and confident communication skills in German and English. Knowledge of French is an advantage
