To achieve that, we want to plant 1 billion trees by 2020 with the help of our fast-growing user-base. So far our 7 million users have already planted more than 20 million trees.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building and maintaining relationships with German speaking journalists and influencers, seeking installs in the DACH market
  • Planning and executing campaigns, creative advertising ideas, pitches and projects with the whole communications team
  • Reaching out to organisations (schools, companies, universities) trying to convince them to install Ecosia
  • Looking into (paid) marketing ideas and business partnerships to gain installs in German speaking markets
  • Pitching and presenting Ecosia to the press, at events and conferences, attending and organizing events
  • Researching prizes and competitions relevant to Ecosia
  • Replying to German speaking press and partnership requests
  • Helping out with Customer Support for DACH

What you bring

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience

  • Degree in communications, PR, marketing, journalism or a similar field
  • Strong knowledge of the German speaking media landscape and the new media
  • A good understanding of DACH as a market and experience working with partners based in the DACH region
  • Experience crafting creative campaigns to secure media interest
  • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically
  • Superior writing skills
  • Exceptional people skills and propensity for relationship building
  • ‘Can-do’ attitude and readiness to roll up your sleeves
  • Eagerness to learn new skills
  • Native German level, fluent spoken and written English (other language skills are a bonus)
  • Passion for our mission and our core value
