Who we are

DUDE CHEM is a venture backed Green Chemistry startup with its origins in the German Scientific Federal Cluster of Excellence in Catalysis at the University of Technology Berlin. We are a small but mighty team which is dedicated to fulfil our mission: Based on the 12 Principles of Green Chemistry we aim to build a green chemical-pharmaceutical industry. The industry currently consumes >13% of all fossil resources, most of them during the manufacturing. Our aim is to change this.

In order to achieve this goal, we have built a strong patent portfolio and validated the tech onto the market in order to reduce or reuse expensive resources in the production of chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

We believe that digitalization can be an integral tool for the implementation of greener, more sustainable production processes.

Why DUDE CHEM

To put it in a nutshell: Deeptech is the new black – and Berlin with its vibrant deeptech startup scene and high quality of life is developing towards a global Green Chemistry hotspot.

DUDE CHEM works very closely with the Green Chemistry Incubator Chemical Invention Factory and the German Federal Scientific Cluster of Excellence in Chemistry (UniSysCat).

It’s not a coincidence that one of the founding fathers of green chemistry, the US Prof. John Warner has joined our team as a distinguished research fellow.

DUDE CHEM is in the epicenter of it all.

• Rework/ improve marketing materials such as presentations for customers or suppliers.
• Coordinate work of freelancers and agencies.
• Guide and motivate other team members (e.g. chemists) to get relevant information and feedback for your work.
• Jointly organize marketing events such as conferences and trade shows.
• Edit content for our website, social media, and press releases.

• You have a B.S. in Management or related fields or corresponding work experience.
• Being a master in power point is a must and you are also able to write a catchy text in English.
• In times of high pressure (which is frequently the case), you don’t lose control and you are still able to work. Instead of despair, you organize yourself and set priorities. 
• You don’t wait for others to solve your problems and you don’t easily lose your faith.
• You are not afraid to communicate and exchange with other team members from quantum physics or chemistry, etc. even if you don’t have a clue what they are talking about.
• Your entrepreneurial spirit allows you to work proactively as well as economically.
• Excellent English skills are mandatory.
• You appreciate direct communication .
