ABOUT US
With a unique combination of online shop and local farmers market, the Marktschwärmer network creates direct distribution channels for regional producers and gives people access to fresh, local food. We digitise the short chain food circuit, promote sustainability in farmers and consumers, and actively prevent food waste.
Our parent organization "La Ruche Qui Dit Oui!" was founded in France in 2010. The award winning Martkschwärmer idea has since been established in six other countries. Today, there are over 1,300 distribution points in Europe, around 150 of them in Germany.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
La Ruche Qui Dit Oui ! wants to upgrade its marketing know-how. Our new “members first” approach, requires a refocus on customer needs, improving the acquisition of clients and finding more effective measures for retention. We operate in the following 5 countries: France, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Germany with a local operational Marketing and/or Communication Officer.
Reporting to the CEOs, your mission is to build the international marketing strategy of La Ruche and propose operational roadmaps for our Country Managers, as well as leading our corresponding communication campaigns. For your day to day work, you’ll work along with Marketing and Communication Officers in each country, as well as freelancers for technical/design support. You would ideally be based in one of the following cities: Paris, Berlin, Milan, Torino, Bruxelles, Madrid or Barcelona; however you can also work remotely.

TASKS
Marketing strategy - understand our customers and their motivations in each country and build a profitable strategy to target and retain them (including budget suggestions & channels strategy)
Digital marketing - structure and improve our digital campaign know-how, CRM, website funnel conversion and SEO
Decentralised campaigns - provide effective tools and actions for our local market organisers to recruit and retain clients
Performance monitoring - setup dashboards to monitor our actions and iterate
Cross-departmental collaboration - Carry the voice of marketing and communication inside the company to move transversal projects forward
Brand positioning - enable communication officers to build international campaigns according to strategic goals in your division. You need to understand local brand matters to be able to lead an impactful communication strategy. You can rely on internal skills for design content creation.
Quarterly travel within Europe is part of the role
Anforderungen
YOUR PROFILE
8-10 years of experience in digital marketing
Background in strategy setup
Data-oriented mindset with a test-and-learn approach
Good understanding of our company's mission, brand and our industry’s main stakeholders
Extensive experience with digital marketing tools
Strong personal relationship skills in order to understand local realities and propose an appropriate strategy
Excellent communication skills are expected
Good command of English is required
Experienced in budget management

Marktschwärmer
Marktschwärmer ist ein Sozialunternehmen, das direkte und regionale Absatzwege für Betriebe aus der Landwirtschaft und dem Lebensmittelhandwerk schafft und ihren Kund*innen Zugang zu frischen, regionalen Lebensmitteln ermöglicht. Mit einer Kombination aus Online-Shop und Popup-Bauernmarkt bringen wir Verbraucher*innen und regionale Lebensmittelerzeuger*innen zu Bestellgemeinschaften zusammen.
Diese Gemeinschaften (“Schwärmereien”) funktionieren dezentral. Verkauft wird online, geliefert wird von den Erzeuger*innen auf einem zweistündigen Markt einmal die Woche. Die Schwärmereien werden lokal von den sogenannten Gastgeber*innen organisiert und geleitet. Sie steuern den Online-Verkauf, organisieren die wöchentliche Warenübergabe und sorgen dafür, dass die Schwärmereien wachsen und gedeihen.
Die Marktschwärmer-Initiative wurde als „La Ruche Qui Dit Oui!“ 2010 in Frankreich gegründet. Seitdem wurde das Projekt in acht weiteren Ländern etabliert. Heute gibt es über 1.300 solcher Gemeinschaften in Europa, davon knapp 140 in Deutschland.
