Aufgaben
Tasks
- The Board Assistant ensures the effective and efficient functioning of the Board of MSF-Germany by providing secretarial and content support to all Board members and especially the President in their work and roles in different Board positions as well as for Board working groups
- Contact person for all Board members (questions, information, exchange etc.) and Board related inquiries, both external and internal
- Supports the Board in the elaboration of presentations, written documents, lectures, panel discussions and interviews. Supports the President esp. in ongoing day-to-day business such as correspondence, administrative support and monitoring of the President´s agenda and travel schedule.
- Coordinates the communication and exchange between the General Director (GD) and President
- Ensures regular information flow to and from the Board on relevant national and international MSF topics (screening function) as well as towards the international MSF-Movement (International President, International Office, OCA, other MSF sections, etc.)
- Prepares and organizes (administration, travels, agenda setting) Board meetings and retreats as well as other international MSF meetings (online and in-person)
- Responsible for minute-taking during Board meetings and video conferences
- Works in close cooperation with the Association Coordinator, especially with the organisation of the General Assembly (GA), and participates in national and international associative activities
Anforderungen
Profile
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar position (office organisation and administration), preferably in the non-profit-sector or completed vocational training in the administrative sector/ or comparable university degree
- Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing in German and English
- Service orientated person with a high level of discretion
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet, PowerPoint)
- Experience in the preparation of meetings incl. minute writing
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team with a structured and organized approach to the job including the ability to handle different topics in parallel
- Strong interest in international humanitarian work and current affairs as well as commitment to the humanitarian principles of MSF
- Flexibility with regards to working hours and willingness to work on weekends every 6-8 weeks (Board meetings) as well as evenings

- Payment according to internal salary structure; in this position according to group 2 with full-time employment (40h/week) from 2.673 Euro to a maximum of 3.382 Euro, depending on the relevant professional experience

ÄRZTE OHNE GRENZEN e.V. ist als deutsche Sektion einer von 24 Mitgliedsverbänden von MSF. Die Arbeitsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen Projektdurchführung, Personalwerbung, Medien- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit sowie Fundraising. Im Jahr 2019 entsendete ÄRZTE OHNE GRENZEN e. V. 297 Mitarbeiter*innen in die Projekte, u.a. medizinisches Personal und Fachkräfte für Logistik oder Administration. Derzeit beschäftigt die Organisation mehr als 300 Mitarbeitende am Hauptstandort Berlin sowie in Bonn, Hamburg und Köln. Außerdem arbeiten deutschlandweit rund 120 Face-to-Face-Fundraiser*innen für Ärzte ohne Grenzen.
